A Doru, or Dory, is the main spear used by Ancient Greek Hoplites. The word β€œDoryktetos” is Latin for β€œSpear-Won,” most notable after the conception of Homer’s epic and the Grecian victory over Troy.

The Armalite Rifle platform is a modern-day equivalent to the ancient Hoplite spear because of its notability to some western militaries. It is supplemented by its symbolism of patriotism and duties approaching defense and offense.
