A Doru, or Dory, is the main spear used by Ancient Greek Hoplites. The word βDoryktetosβ is Latin for βSpear-Won,β most notable after the conception of Homerβs epic and the Grecian victory over Troy.
The Armalite Rifle platform is a modern-day equivalent to the ancient Hoplite spear because of its notability to some western militaries. It is supplemented by its symbolism of patriotism and duties approaching defense and offense.
