“In cold, dead space, to fear the darkness is foolish, but to fear what lies in it is logical. Those that have seen it will never forget about it. A weapon for a once-powerful empire, now a derelict seen as an omen to space travelers. It drifts forever, in a cold, dead space, a reminder of an apathetic universe.”

I made this illustration for publication class. The objective was to create a print showcasing a specific font that follows a specific grid system. This is for the Radial grid system. I used illustration's advantages to directly follow the form of the type to make both visual ideas interesting. I also thought it would be cool to add short-descriptive stories to each illustration. I feel like it adds more character to it, although the illustration's weight is interesting enough regardless of both text and description.
